lovely characteristic joey holts pub. recently undergone a refurb which has brought it up to date but kept the wonderful character, the new smoke shelter is hugely welcome as being a non smoker you used to get a mouth full of the smokers smoke as you entered the pub as they stood at the entrance door. the interior is lovely and comfortable, a wide mixture of customers, no young teenagers drink in here its just a nice relaxed atmosphere, 3 big screens for football which seems to attract a variety of well behaved bantering footie fans, small function room to the rear of the building, which i think is used for footie, darts & the occasional birthday bash, i have sampled some very good charity nights in here in the last few months, it seems like new owners in here & i think this has helped to bring some life into this place but still a very enjoyable relaxing atmosphere. excellent kept traditional beer with the occasional seasonal ale & friendly staff. well worth a visit. i will continue to visit this place.

Excellent Edwardian example of a Holts boozer (was even better prior to alterations near 25 yrs ago !!!). Good value well kept Holts Bitter, friendly pub, busy vault and large back room with dart board. Back Room also has large drop down screen used on Fridays for Rugby League.

We go in every month or so (am not local) and back room has a good friendly feel with good banter. Excellent Pub. Back soon
