| First stop of a Sunday tour through Devon was this village pub. We fancied a Sunday roast and whilst the lounge/restaurant was full, we were invited to eat in the traditional bar. The 3 real ales were Bass & Dartmoor Legend & Jail Ale. There were also 4ciders - Sandford Orchards The General, Devon Red & Devon Scrumpy & Hunt's Wobbler, in addition to Black Rat Perry. | In a pleasant part of Devon this pub is a must if you love cider and ales. Up to 10 ciders on of every sort and four ales on too. The drinks were all of a very good quality and well priced. The pub is a little rough around the edges and could do with a bit of a tidy up, But the drinks range is quite unbelievable. 8/10 montie49 - 25 Aug 2014 17:47 |
