please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

A very nice Smith & Jones Chain pub, much more atmosphere than the spoons nearby and still very good ale quality,we were gonna stay here as the do accomodation but were sadly fully booked, 8/10

large pub serving bombardier, brains, smiths & wye valley on my visit

I had a couple of pints in here, on a Sunday late last year, whilst I watched the 3000+ Harley Davidsons ride past after doing their yearly Hoggin the bridge ride over the Severn. Interesting stuff, but back to the pub.

Bombardier, Wye Valley Bitter and Theakston were all available along with various bog standard lagers. The prices were very reasonable and the staff polite. There are lots of plasma screens dotted about and the pub shows both Sky Sports and Setanta. The pub is big with separate areas so it is easy to get comfortable. There is also a tiny dance floor and DJ box for the evenings and apparently the pub is open until 1am on a Friday and Saturday.

There is a smoking area out the back so that you dont have to stand on the high street.

As pubs go this one is ok even if it does lack character, but Id imagine there must be better boozers in the area.
