| i visited this pub on tues 11th october at approx 6 o clock, for a meal. my wife chose lasagne and i opted for the homemade steak pie,which is usually my favourite.i can honestly say it was the worst meal i have had in a long while.the pie was black round the edges,some of the meat was to hard to eat and the gravy was a congealed mess.my wife said hers was passable but didnt really enjoy it.i could have had a far better meal at the crown carvery at crofton for a lot less than what we paid here.i definately wont be going back here again. ive rated it three simply for the fast service,nothing else. stevie123 - 11 Oct 2011 21:57 |
| today (April 24th )called into my local The Beverley Arms in Ackworth (recently changed management) to find no one behind the bar. Waited for 5 mins and still no service. the chef looked out of the kitchen and I told him how long we had waited and was told it wasnt his problem.However during the conversation two girls came from out of sight. I mentioned it was not good to keep us waiting and they both thought it was funny. Therefore we left. Totally unacceptable service as there was none and very bad management employing them as they thought it was acceptable to not be at the bar and not providing customer service. 123mav - 24 Apr 2011 16:22 |
