Fairly large open plan pub on the Lytham Road. Has a fairly modern feel to it and looks like it has recently been decorated. Five real ales were on - Greene King IPA, Taylor Landlord, Black Sheep Best, Thwates Wainwright and Everards Tiger. I did find the pub a little too 'commercial' for our liking. With menus on display at all tables, it was fairly obvious where their priorities lay. Old pictures of Blackpool could be viewed on the walls. blue_scrumpy - 7 Nov 2010 16:57 |
Only 2 beers on the 5 handpumps, so chose Hart Ice Maiden. The food menu looked good, and was so reasonable we decided to eat here, and the steak pie was good. Couldn't manage the puds. gillhalfpint - 18 Feb 2010 22:45 |
Hit the pub later on after the darts, busy but could still get served, bitter improved and a wider selection than our last visit.Looks like we hit it on a bad day last time and although I probably wouldn't eat in there, it caters for our real ale needs boddies_drinker - 30 Jul 2009 13:20 |
