I understand this pub may have recently had a refurbishment? The Hopton Crown is a coaching inn, as British as you get. Set in a valley between Bewdley and Ludlow, in a wonderful, oft overlooked part of England. You have the old building which has a restaurant, two bars and some rooms, then more rooms in a newer building. We stayed for 3 nights between Christmas and New Year 2019, and have nothing but praise. Rooms are modern, well equipped and dog friendly. Bars had roaring fires and were busy... (first day we arrived there were about 30 guys toasting a pheasant shoot!). Food was good and well priced (around £12 for a main meal). Beers were a couple of Hobsons (twisted Spire and a darker beer), along with Wye valley golden ale. Founders reserve and Robinsons ciders. Nothing really at Hopton Wafers, although I imagine good walking in the summer months.. We used as a base to visit Wyre forest, Bridgnorth, Ludlow etc.. Definitely recommended..

Ancient coaching inn in lovely spot on the Clee Hill road just outside Cleobury. Emphasis is on the restaurant and hotel side of things all of which are very well done. As far as the pub side goes there's a comfy public bar with nice beer and if you're lucky enough to get a warm sunny afternoon (this is Shropshire) a pleasant garden by the river.

I wouldn't make a trip of it for a drink, stop by if you are passing, but you could do far worse if you're looking for somewhere to stay the night.
