| Sometimes used to stop off here if travelling with company, and settled on a cut across from the A1 westwards. We always found the regulars very welcoming and excellent ales. | Used to be very good, smashing beer and equally good food. Last time, though, the middle-aged head honcho in the food area spent his time loudly slagging off presumably absent members of staff and generally gossiping with two females who clearly were not interested, but afraid to tell him to belt up.
