Had a meal and drinks at The Waggon and Horses recently. All the meals in our party of eleven were great and there was clean plates all round!
The pub is smart following some renovation work a couple of years ago, but is definitely geared towards those wanting to dine. The range of Robinsons Beers served are good and well kept. As others have posted the prices are little more expensive than other pubs in the locality. Still, a pretty good pub overall.

Good robbies ales and food good. BUT over the top prices. It is an expensive place to both eat and drink.

Visited on Christmas Eve and it was absolutely heaving - so much so that we sadly bade it goodbye and went to quieter pastures where we could get a table. The beer (a Robbie's seasonal) was in fine form.

Nice pub and the food was good, but... i thought the portions were small for the prices they charge which i think are ott, fish, chips, peas, 11.50? For example.

Fortunately we did not see the landlord's son! This is a Robinson's pub, with Unicorn Bitter cask ale (served a bit cold). Food and staff good.
