Our band Faceless People are playing here on Sat 15th July 2006.

We are a local band. We play our own songs. Influences from 60's - 90's; mod, classic, punk, indie, pop goth, folk and prog rock and reggae mixed with a sprinkling of psych and blues. We have an hour and a half set which we will be playing in full. Line-up:

Rob G: Vox / Organ / Swazzle
Rob P: Guitar
Tom: Guitar
Shane: Bass
Dave: Drums
Guest vox / adorability: Landmine Lisa

I went to The Cornmarket Inn because I was with a disabled person and it had easy access which was good however that's where the good things stopped. The bar staff were all surly and unresponsive, the young woman was positively rude and ignored me and my companion on several occasions. The beer tasted horrid. The tea was made with lukewarm water!!!! The toilets were out of action so we used the big disabled one. The drier didn't work. We couldn't wait to leave which was a shame really because the decor and feel of the pub was very good and just goes to show that it is indeed people that make a place what it is. Zero points I'm afraid.

Happily (!) now the handpumps are back in action. Today noticed Wadworth 6X and Ringwood on tap. Give it a try.

Sadly, in spite of sporting 6 handpumps, real ale seems no longer to be available.
