Renamed Tokyo Joe last year, but just as good...love the spicy noodle soup. Excellent ambient music last time I was there.
All in all great value and a very cool atmosphere with cooking done before your very eyes.

Is rapidly becoming my fave eating establishment in town. Went a few times when it first opened a few years ago and they we drifted apart. Now we are back together and hopefully we will have a long relationship.
Food is fabulous, staff friendly, Asahi Black is so smooth.
Do not be affraid if sushi is not your thing, cooked Japanese food available and everyone will enjoy it.

Love this place!! Wouldn't really class it as a bar, but the sushi and service are amazing. Last time I went, chopsticks are compulsory so beware untrained hands... don't order noodles..!
I'd give it a try with a few friends, try the saki and the plum wine, it's like a whole new world of drinking!

Excellent place for something different in York. Don't think I would call it a pub, but certainly not your traditional restaurant either.

Quality of food is always excellent which is amazing cause their kitchen is tiny and the place is packed every weekend. It's a bit of a niche market but they've been there a while now so they must be doing well.

An ultra cool, but very welcoming japanese sushi restaurant and bar. Great food, but they are justs as welcoming for a pint of John Smiths or cup of saki.
