Standards still high at this fine hostelry. Excellent food and cask beers always in good order.

Busy, friendly pub. Old fashioned interior, decent food at very decent prices. Bedroom small but very clean and again a very good price. Quiet location near Talkin Tarn. All local ales were perfect. Would stay again if in area.

Splendid village pub with good variety of real ale and food, very friendly staff and locals who make strangers feel welcome. Many pubs in this area are becoming poncey restaurants, but not the Blacksmiths.

Delightful family run country inn.The atmosphere is cosy, the food exceptionally good but most importantly there are three or four real ales on offer mostly from local Cumbrian breweries.Only about three miles from Brampton (A69)and close to Talkin Tarn beauty spot.I suggest a stroll around the tarn followed by a pint or two and a good pub lunch.

Great, homely country pub with restaurant. Always busy -- great food.
