| This is now a hideous Hickory Smokehouse place. Overrun with kids and if you just want a drink prepare to be shifted every 5 minutes because "that table is needed". Unless you've got kids stay well away. Go up to the Ring O Bells instead. Windy_Miller - 29 Apr 2015 13:46 |
| Has recently re-opened as 'Hickory's Smokehouse', an American diner. My daughter went today. I asked her what it was like and she replied that she had a nice meal. | Anyone visiting Liverpool should make an effort to pass a few hours in this marvelous place. When the tides out you can stroll around the yachting barrier pathway and when you get to the other end if you keep on until you go over a little bridge and look left ,you'll see the Moby Dick. It says Cheshire all over it, but that's not a criticism. Several people had told us it had a superb carvery, roast beef and all that at a very reasonable price and it was true but what I liked was the range of real ales and ciders ,after all that's why I was there shouldersarms - 13 May 2011 16:04 |
| On our visits to West Kirby we always make time to pop into the Moby Dick, and never have we been disappointed. Food fab, staff welcoming and it is a pleasant change to find clean toilets, quite a rarity in pubs these day! MarieT - 3 Nov 2007 16:45 |
