| Went on a Friday night and it was not busy. Very friendly barman and good service. Put off by a group of five youngsters who were permitted to go to the takeaway opposite to order pizzas and other takeaway food to eat at a table next to us. It was very off-putting and I was astonished that people would do this. The place stunk of takeaway food. This may be common in this pub as our table was incredibly sticky and another table close by was as well. I go to a pub to enjoy a drink and listen to music in congenial surroundings. | Stopped for one on Bank Holiday Saturday, interior a little tired & a passable pint of Tetley & Bombardier, service ok & beer topped up without having to be asked, Sky Sports was a bonus but not a patch on Cellars down the road. ell - 9 Sep 2011 00:25 |
