A very nice place providing you are androgynous and don't want to drink anything masculine.

went here with a group of friends on saturday night over May Bank Holiday 07.It was a charity weekend in aid of a little local girl.We had a fantastic time and were made very welcome. It was such a shame that the act billed did not show up.However the bar staff
all got up and did a stint on stage and it ended up a really great party. Thanks to all the staff, we will see you again.Oh and the beer was good too.

Recently been back to the pub and the bar staff have changed!.......much friendlier behind the bar and the decor is excellent. Have only been during week and was a little empty but i'm guessing would be busier on a Saturday night. Worth a visit on a Saturday and the courtyard at the back is excellent place to sit too!!

I disagree with the comments posted before as each time I have been the pub is friendly and welcoming. Music is by way of a jukebox in the day and if you dont put money in then I guess there wont be any music! However this makes it easier to chat and certainly that what I went for on Saturday in the blazing sun. The patio area is gorgeous and such a suntrap and we ended up going back in the evening because the staff told us about the entertainment. Very lively and very friendly - well worth a visit.

Ventured here with a couple of friends a few weeks ago. Maybe we were just unlucky but got here and the place was empty (was bout 5pm) apart from two bar staff. There was no music playing and the atmosphere was non inviting. The staff were also unwelcoming and said nothing to us even though we were the only people in there (it all seemed too much effort!). The prices were average and thankfully we managed to get some music going to try and create some kind of atmosphere. Its a shame because the makeover for this pub is really good and the terrace at the back would be excellent in the summer. Ive been here a few times in the past and unfortunately the quirkiness remains. I won't be rushing back.
