No longer a pub but a new-fangled pizza joint. Great pizza, but a bizarre ordering system which ends up with you having a gizmo that beeps and flashes when your pizza's ready. Great staff. Great pizza. But be ready for self service.

Soho is just what Christchurch needed. Go drink in the Sh***y Ship if you do not like it here.

Incredibly expensive beer, lots of people trying to look attractive and bouncers on the door to keep out the old. Whenever I have had to drink here I have always left after a pint and gone to the Thomas Tripp.

Had my 50th in the upstairs function room so shouldn't be too critical, but I do miss the old Castle Tavern. I'm afraid I'm just an old f**t and don't like these new-fangled places with their new-fangled decor - and of course new-fangled prices.

Even if this place is a tad on the faux-classy side, it is at least a decent alternative to the usual Christchurch pubs and can attract a younger crowd.

They tend to have one or two ales on (usually the rather drab Ringwood or Courage) but the real let-down are the prices, which are extortionate even by London standards. 3.10 for a pint of Becks?
