This is a good pub with a wide cross section of customers. It does good fairly priced pub grub and has two hand pulled bitters which are reasonably priced. It is also clean and comfortable. All in all not much to moan about. Certainly worth a look.

Decent enough hotel bar and the only bar within reasonable walking distance of the train station. Clean and comfortable, one real ale served plus standard keg offering. One for a quick pint before getting the train but not much else. Live music on Saturday nights. Adjoining Radnor's Restaurant. Double rooms around 50.

I wasn't expecting a great deal from this place, but had 25 minutes to spend whilst waiting for a train. On entering, I was was so dazzled by the bright lights on the lager dispensers around the refurbished island bar that I didn't see the lonesome Bombardier handpump at first. However, the beer was fine and the place was packed on a Sunday lunchtime. Not really my kind of pub, but at least they are making an effort.

To be fair, the beer's well kept, and the menu looks good, but......
Perhaps I'm getting old but I don't like the place any more. Time was you could go there for a quiet pint whilst waiting for the train and it was a decent hotel bar with character. Nowadays it's a shining, gleaming youth club indistinguishable from all the other "wiiiiiiiiiiine bars".
