Recently sold, refurbished and reopened. Now owned by Stonegate, who I had not heard of before. Was getting rather run down and shabby, but now much improved. Nice selection of beer. I had the house badged from Hunters. Crackshot I think. Still quite food centred, but enough space for those just wanting a pint.

Truly terrible experience. Booked a table to eat there. Ordered food all at same time and it with a delay of 1 hour for the arrival of the first main meal to the arrival of the last main meal, all ordered the same time. Burger had to be sent back as it was burnt, lasange boiling hot at one end and cold in the middle. FIsh cake was so salty as to be inedible and chips were cold cardboard. Children's chicken and pea noodles were too peppery to eat. The only redeeming feature was the staff were friendly.
