Shut yet again - the 4th or 5th time this century? Repo order on door.

Booked a birthday dinner for 16 people here on a Saturday. The woman on the phone was very friendly and helpful, and the back room that we ended up in was lovely, but:
1) when we arrived our tables hadn't been reserved (which they sorted out fairly quickly, although the people chucked off the tables looked pretty unhappy);
2) all of the real ales, which was one of the key reasons we went there, were off, leaving us only with Guinness and lager;
3) the food came out over the course of an hour, which meant that some people were just getting their food as others' plates were being cleared! ; and
4) despite being assured by a chap on the phone that they'd be open until at least midnight, they stopped serving at 10.50 and chucked us out shortly thereafter... bearing in mind that we'd only just finished our drawn-out supper!

I had the mispleasure of going here recently. It was horrendous. Dull, loud music, a clientele straight from Footballers Wives and, then, the bar staff - drunk, serving their mates, seemingly not bothered about people waiting and then laughing when a guy, politely, told them to "sort it out". It wasn't even that busy in there, but it took a good 15-20 minutes to get served and even then you were served with little attention.

Utterly devoid of character, humour..anything really. The worst pub I've ever been in in my life.
