Profile information

Due to health problems I only drink low alcohol beer these days. Brewdog Nanny State is my favourite, followed by Erdinger, which you hardly ever see in pubs (you can get it in Waitrose and Sainsbury's). Other than that I drink Beck's Blue or may have the odd shandy.

The Grand Union, Westbourne Park

The Union Tavern has recently had a refurb. And most things are better. The green (original) tiling outside is much better than that dreadful grey paint. London Pride is the house ale; there are three or four guests, mostly from other London breweries. A wide selection of craft beer is available also, again mostly London brews. Live blues once a month with house band and guests, rare soul night bi-monthly, meet the brewer events once a month... Monday is £3 a pint for ale and Wednesday is quiz night. I've been using this pub since 1987 when in the area and a regular since 1995 when I moved here and continue to do so.

The Queens Arms, Kilburn

Popped in for a swift Beck's Blue on my way home last night. Is there a by-law that states that all pubs in Kilburn High Rd must charge £3.80 for said item, for which gideon osbourne takes very little due to its meagre alcohol content?

The Cock Tavern, Kilburn

I quite like The Cock and go there for footy when Angie's II is showing rugby. I may make music night some Thursday. Only downer: Beck's Blue a whopping £3.80!! Other drinks prices were quite reasonable.
