Rumours that this establishment is ear marked as a Prezzo for 2013 :-(

I popped in this Friday, haven't been up there in a year or so.
Seems to be a different place from then. Very friendly bar staff. They got a new land lady in there aswell, nice women indeed. Friendly and very chatty.
Good modern day music being played and the locals was a nice bunch. A good sized seating/smoking area out the back. Noticed a new pool table and dart board in there.
Drinks are a decent price compared to a lot of other pubs in the area.
I'll defiantly be visiting again.

I went in this pub in August with a few mates one friday night hadnt been in there for ages but was told it had changed hands and was now really good so thought we would give it a try we had a great time good disco and everyone was enjoying themselves it was a great atmosphere really friendly landlady who made us feel really wellcome said she had only been running it for a few weeks and was trying to get it up and running again i thought i will definately go back again then we went in there the other friday new landlady running it no music and as soon as we walked in we felt threatened really roudy no atmosphere so we had one drink and walked straight out what a shame we need some good pubs to go into its gone back to the way it always was bloody shame

Closes down and re-opens almost on a yearly basis these days. Attracts all the scum you can imagine it's a dead loss. It used to be a good place to go up to the early 90's, sadly times have changed you can literally cut the atmosphere with a knife as soon as you walk in there or enter the beer garden at the side. Avoid this place at all costs and go to the Paul Pry instead.
