I've only been here on a lunchtime before the football at Carrow Road. Today there were 4 real ales on and 2 just finished. Most of our party had Woodfordes Once Bittern, others the Nog. Both well kept
Good pub, good landlady, shows the football but not obtrusively

Above average Norwich back-street pub.

Good choice of food and some decent beer.

Too noisy for my liking.

Not allowed to drink outside so a minus if you want to drink and smoke.

An extra pub we added on passing as it is in the current Woodfordes Trail. Woodfordes Wherry & Nelsons Revenge with Broadside and Elgoods Cambridge. It was a shame that the Black Dog Mild was not available although still advertised behind the bar in large lettering. Our group found the beer to warm and therefore not that enjoyable. The pub is traditional with bare floorboards and many beams. Large fireplace with a wood burning stove that thankfully was not in use.

Went there last Sunday and was pleasantly surprised by the standard of ale, barman and not least a very enjoyable quiz. Fantastic - am going back every week!
