| the crown has always been popular with the youth of Midhurst. I was one!! It seems a shame it is now closed. x Quickly find some new management and money!!! | I used to come here with a woman I was frequently seeing from Midhurst and have been here on a Saturday night a couple of times. This boozer is split into two sections with a pool room at the back. The bar staff were friendly and efficient on the occasions I visited, but then again, Midhurst is a relatively small town where virtually everyone knows each other, so you would surely expect this. On one occasion, they had a DJ (local lad Jamie Cummings, I was reliably informed!) present, who did a fine job of giving the place a degree of atmosphere, with a smart selection of non-cheese tunes. For me, Midhurst is too small a town to ever become a truly vibrant night out. It is more a place to go for a few quiet beers on a crawl around town or a place to go drinking with a partner. Therefore, the Crown is not a place you would find me in again on a Friday or Saturday night for instance, unless with my lovely lady-friend from the area!!
