user reviews of the Turks Head, Hasketon

please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

A slight hiccup at the start of our visit with no trace of our booking although they managed to find us a good table. Much more of a high-quality restaurant than a pub with most people having left the building by 9pm. Ghost Ship, Earl Soham Victoria and Mauldons Pale Ale were the 3 cask ales and the 2 that I drank were decent but without distinction.

The Turks head is a great country pub in the village of Hasketon, near Woodbridge Suffolk. Its open all day every day and serves food Wednesday through Sunday both lunchtime and evening. The Turks normally stocks three cask ales at very reasonable prices, 2.30 for Woodfords Werry. There is a lovely garden and ample parking. The lease of the pub has just been taken over by a consortium of locals who are determined to keep the pub as a traditional drinking house. If you are in the area I can certainly recommend a visit.

Another of those Lovely old Pubs stuck in the middle of the Suffolk countryside which like others of its type often seem to be struggling to survive, despite being in the middle of a thriving village, its had something of a see-saw exsistence for a few years now but still continues to hang in there.
It has just changed hands again, I popped in on Saturday lunchtime and had a top quality pint of Adnams, interior is Homely and comfortable, the welcome was friendly, lets hope its in for a period of stability.
