Now changed hands, Francis and family have gone to Spain.
New Landlady very friendly, seems as if she was not told about the pubs usual activities, so jazz not regular at the moment.
Still the same sort of choice for beers, which is a good thing, I hope it stays that way.
The only downside was the removal of the lace curtains, giving the place the look of a goldfish bowl.

Good beer, constantly changing, you get plenty of variety and types Proper old fashioned pub..

Good old fashioned local, couple of real ales from the smaller breweries. Definitely worth a visit if passing through. All the Newhaven pubs should be do-able easily on single day with room left for Seaford after that !

down to earth locals pub with a good range of 3 beers from Welton when I went in today (range changes). Pub itself nothing spectacular so it's the beers which make it worth a visit

Can't really improve on the last comment, a year later, still the best in Newhaven.
