| as part of the ember inns chain, food is now served until 9.00 mon-sun. will not find a nicer assistant manager, she's been working in the white horse in great baddow while our manager is away. | The No Smoking area consists of three small tables in a very cramped area with views overlooking the toilets! The food is OK but not cheap compared with other groups. The price of beer was also higher than other pubs in the area. For some reason many of the tables have "puffees" and sofas around them, which means that you may have no alternative but to eat your meal with your elbows up in the air! anonymous - 11 Mar 2006 12:51 |
| My only comment would be how early they stop taking food orders. I cant remember the exact time now, but it was something like 8pm !! On a Saturday this is ridiculous. I remember going there with my parents on a Saturday night - and its a lovely quaint pub which does fill up early. We got there at about 7:45pm, took a while getting a table, went to order to food only to be told they had stopped cooking. Its silly on the busiest night of the week. We ended up going elsewhere.
