Usual Wetherspoons serving issues. Maybe customers should use the app and order stuff online from in the bar. Outside seating area (hotel upstairs now, too) from where you can watch drug raids at Divas next door or, across the road, observe the phalanx of smokers outside Ebemeezers and Moderation. Too big though, as are most ‘Spoons IMHO.

I come to Hull regally from to Nederland’s and I made out a poor review of the Zachariah Pearson’s so I was a little reluctant to enter another J. D. Wetherspoons.

I remembers this as a furnishing store, so I entered. The bar is large with a long serving bar counter and the pace was no all that busy so a bartender comes to serve me. I order a pint of Abbots beer, as I don’t stand at bars on more I find a empty table, the tables and chairs are so high! Just my fit so maybe a Dutchman makes them LOL!

I drank two pints of Abbots, it was good, and the service was good on both trips to the bar. On looking about I recognised so some people from my visit to the Zac Pearson, one even waved a greeting, that he remembered me.

In whole I enjoyed this visit; I stay a little as a loner and was not bothered by anyone. But got a feeling by looking around that most of the drinkers were on a poverty level, and came from poor backgrounds. I visited on a late Monday afternoon. And think it would be a different story, say late at the weekends.

One of the worst Wetherspoons we have been in! Crap service and I had to send two beers back - we ended up drinking shorts but really we should have left and gone somewhere else (but is was near our hotel and getting late). There are 3 other 'spoons in town and plenty of good pubs so leave this one out!

The usual dreadful 'spoons service and the usual smell of old mans farts. Pay a few pennies more and go to a proper pub

My fave Wetherspoons bar in Hull. Large, open pub but always seems to have a friendly, local atmosphere. Usual good value 'Spoons food and beer. Popular for all age groups. A number of tv screens for sports.
