Visited here on Wednesday for lunch and a few drinks. My wife and I stopped going here as the service used to be so poor (always getting our food orders wrong). This time round the food was very good (but expensive) and I was overall very impressed. The drinks were good too. Would go back now.

Good choice of lagers in the bar (Amstel and the rare sight of draught Birra Moretti - thumbs up) and the food is okay if a tad pricey. Nice interior, decent location and generally a chilled atmosphere.

We have visited the Chilworth Arms twice and have had a fantastic experience on both occasions. The beer is cold and gorgeous and the food was served quickly by friendly staff. I agree that it may be a bit overpriced however I love the atmosphere so I feel it is worth it.

We visited the Chilworth Arms for the first time since the change yesterday. Having been regulars at the Clump we were looking forward to it opening again, but were actually very dissapointed. Although the appearance of the place is great internally, it has lost character, and appears to be only marketing itself at the upper end of Southampton's residents (ie. those with lots of money!).

We paid extortionate prices for wine, and the food did not impress us. the menu is now Italian, and the choices really only include pizza, pasta and some fancy meats. As a vegetarian I had limited food choice, and was disapointed with the food I had. My friend paid 18 for a steak and the serving size was poor and did not provide value for money - she would have been happy to pay in the region of 12 as the meat was good but that would be maximum.

Could outline other things such as: food coming at separate times - leaving one person to eat half of their meal (other items to follow) with 2 others watching with a 10 minute wait for their food and value for money on other food items. etc etc.

Anyway, at the end of our visit we concluded that:
1. we will write to the owners/brewery to inform them of this as they should be aware.
2. We could have had a fancy night out in London for the same price we paid - we received little value for money.
3. We will sadly not be returning to this establishment again.

My Fiance and I visited this pub last week and I must say that the food, service and atmosphere were exceptional.

Thank you to James and team.
