user reviews of Whoop Hall Hotel, Kirkby Lonsdale

please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

Pretty much a typical South Lakeland pub. Snotty service, snotty clientele and pretty bland and souless (as last reviewer said).

Better pubs just down the road in Lancaster.

A bit souless and bland. No real atmosphere, but then I suppose it is a Hotel and not a pub.

I wouldn't rush back.

On the plus side, the beer garden has good views over the dales.

I was there just before Christmas on do with mates from work.
Good food served from carvery so you could get as much as you wanted and a good pint of Black Sheep. Green King IPA was also on.
It's not somewhere I would go for a sech but is a good place to go for a meal to book for a party etc.

There on 6 Sept for a Baptism party. Expect hotel prices. Black sheep bitter (sampled, fine) and GK IPA on handpump. Food well cooked and presented. Staff all polite and organised. Worth treating yourself for a stay or passing visit.

Good live jazz on a Sunday. Good meal, but felt staff need to be aware the customer goes there to relax and enjoy - felt a bit pushed to move on for next customers
