15th century Wadworth's pub that, like a previous reviewer, we found OK for a swift one before we moved on elsewhere. But the sunny weather and lack of a beer garden here meant moving on was virtually inevitable. I had a pint of St George and the Dragon which needed the landlord to fiddle profusely with the sparkler before anything like a head appeared on the beer. Stowford Press was one of the ciders.

Lots of comments re this pub, I can only speak as I find as they say, exterior looks typical olde worlde, and when you step inside its the same, floorboards, small bar, landlord was pleasant enough. I did feel we had stepped into a locals pub and maybe shouldn't be there but when the locals left the feeling stopped! I had a meal of pork belly with veg and it was bloody good value for £7.50. It was red hot too, plenty of vegetables and the roast potatoes were ace, my son had lamb shank and the sheep must have been a bit on the large side as he could just about manage it. Beer was fine too.
I was passing through Tewkesbury but would go again if in the area.

Physically a nice little half-timbered pub with a cosy rear lounge. Had a decent enough pint but had to wait ages for really poor quality food. Just pop in for a swift one and then move on somewhere else.

Quite a good pint of 6X when I called in yesterday lunchtime, otherwise it is very difficult to find anything positive to say about this pub.
