The beer was fine and the views alone make it worth a visit.

They've revamped the terrace bar to enable guests to make the most of the view but I should have returned my pint of Tribute the other day due to its cloudiness (although everyone else's looked fine). The ale was also far too cold so might not rush back next time we are here.

A decent pint of Tribute and a glass of wine was under 7 so not massively expensive by any means. Nice view out of the window. Not a pub but a hotel bar that welcomes the general drinker.

Just had a week in St Ives. After a very disappointing lunch, poor beer and overcharging in the Sloop. we had lunch here three times.
I can't fault the beer, service or food, and can't agree with an earlier comment stating that it was very very expensive. A pint of Tribute and a half of lager was 4.95, fairly average I think. And a rump steak with chips and salad was less than 11. Lovely views and very pleasant staff, plus free nespapers to read. We shall return.

Although it is really a hotel this is also a proper bar. Fantastic Tribute (and coffees) Superb views. Downside when we first visited was a gaggle of young women with buggies and babies...had our coffee then came back when the coast was clear for our beers. A good place to wait for your bus or train.
