2 years since last visit....price has gone up to 3.60 for cheapest pint of ale.
Bit over the top in a small village almost defunct of real ale. I didnt buy the round but the beer was too cold.

2nd visit to the pub...Unfortunately at 3.50 for an ale was overpriced compared to the rest of the village. You would need to a fat wallet ,so 1 pint was enough. The pricing is wrong.

Second visit to the Dun Cow Inn, both times at the weekend. Service was good without being exceptional although we didn't have to wait long to order or be served with our meals. The food was decent with generous portions and the chips are far nicer than I have had in most pubs. I am not an expert on ales but my father in law knows his stuff and seemed to enjoy his pint of Black Sheep. Definitely worth a visit.

Can't understand why this place only employs miserable staff. The food is good if a little over priced and pretentious undersized. They have 4 ales, always Black Sheep and Theakstons Bitter plus two that change (sometimes). Shame the bar staff don't know how to pull them or use a decent tulip! With better training and some genuinely happy and pleasant staff this would rank higher.

I visit this pub regularly on business and have stayed on several occasions, which I have to say are comfortable but some areas could do with massive improvement such as:- The mention of the "MISERABLE STAFF" probably relates to the related assistant manager and daughters who openly winge about their customers, workmates and employer. It all makes for a strange atmosphere when one of the waitress daughters actually has to do some work, one of whom regularly leaves the bar to do something else leaving customers waiting!! I even heard one resident being told gruffly "YOUR NEXT" whilst complaining about a half hour wait for service whilst watching a local walk in, order taken and food served whilst waiting for service!! There seems to be a smidgeon of staff who do work there who are courteous and cannot do enough to help but they are seldom at work, those mentioned seem to be there a lot and seem to be wrapped up in their private conversations which as mentioned are dissentful to other staff and customers. It seems to me that there is a recipe of nepotism about who works here and how often!! But the food is good and there is a good selection of ales and wines.
