| A memorable occassion when visiting this pub in the early seventies, ran by a gentlemen by the name of Bert Elsey, excellent hospitality, excellent beer, gratish cheese sandwiches, and a horse in the yard popped it's head through the open window! Perhaps looking for a pint! Gone are the days I'm afraid. After the Bricklayers Arms, pubs lost it with Juke boxes, One-armed-bandits, ATM machines in bars now, and usually the beer is a EUROFIZZ chemical concoction! Heaven? The original Bricklayers Arms! | Warm welcome and warm fire in Winter plus lovely tubs and baskets full of flowers in Summer. Nothing posh, just a friendly village Pub.
