Great looking pub but not very friendly staff. More interested in sorting some problem out in the pub. 4 ales but mostly from national breweries. No food being served as there was no chef,no wonder it was empty.

Coaching Inn not far from the Peak Forest Canal, there was a friendly welcome in the front lounge with a very well kept guest ale from Cottage Brewery called Sporting Whippet which slipped down.Other real ales available include Sharp's Doom Bar and Deuchars IPA ..There is a more basic back bar and a small restaurant area.Best pub in the area and must be close to a GBG entry.

Visited last week when cruiding the Peak Forest canal. Short walk from bridge 14. Deuchars IPA & Sharps Doombar found in good condition. Bar food (burgers & kebabs) supplied by next door Mediterranean restaurant OK for the price 3.95

Pleasant free house situated by the Peak Forest Canal. 7 handpumps on bar. Beers at time of writing John Smiths Cask, Sharps Doombar, Bombardier, Deuchars IPA, Adnams Explorer, with a rotating guest beer, and Owd Rosie cider. Beer in good shape time and time again.

Upstairs the bland old function room is now a restaurant 'The Mediterranean', the food is top notch. Bar snacks from the upstairs menu also available.
