user reviews of the Weathervane, Meir

please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

7 years ago I held my wedding reception here as it was absolutely brilliant. The food, the drink, the management, the atmosphere and clientel were all great.
We continued to go there regularily until 4 years ago when we moved.
After that we would stay in the hotel attached when visiting family. Since last year though the place has gone to the dogs! The food is OK but other than that I am really disappointed by how it's gone.
This is a family pub chain with bouncers on the door! If you want to enjoy a drink in there on a Friday or Saturday night forget it, unless you like to hear vulgar language and conversations.
We are never going in there again.
It's a shame.

Typical chain pub. Good for people with kids even though there are no facilities for them.

Beer ok.

Can be very rough especially since change of manager

very very average pub. Obviously main interest here is in food. Tends to be full of families and kids. Not the place to go for a quiet pint or two. Beer range predictably poor and not well kept.
