Second pint of the evening and Old Peculier was my choice here. And I don't mean the strange conversation we had with one of the inebriated locals who appeared later on at the White Bear. Also on sale were Theakston's Lightfoot & Best and Black Sheep. Strongbow was the only cider unfortunately. The Old Peculier was excellent and was belatedly recommended to me by someone else in the White Bear. But if there has to be one pub in Masham which wasn't quite as good as the others then the Bruce Arms was it.

Very warm and friendly welcoming country pub. Clean and well stocked. good selection of real ales. nice selection of reasonably priced food at lunchtime. in the evening the indian resturant opens, which i can also recommend. Well worth a visit in my opinion.

Really well kept beer. Choice of Black Sheep, Landlord and Theakstons with a guest in summer.
Has an enormous beer garden and does decent (locally-sourced) food at lunchtime.

Lovely and welcoming pub in the village, with good choice of beers and superb beer garden at the back.

Not sure how this pub keeps its Cask Marque listing, Theakston Best not in good condition, neither the Black Sheep on the 2 occasions I tried them last week. A bit surreal as well having an Indian restaurant in the public bar!
