Fairly stylish Greene King pub/restaurant that also offers accommodation in the brewery's home town. There were a mixture of people in, including drinkers, diners and families. Ales were Greene King, IPA, Abbot & Starry Night & Morland Old Speckled Hen. There is a fairly decent real ale shop just up the road if heading back to the town centre.

I called in the other evening with a friend for a meal. This pub has recently under gone a refurbishment. It had 4 Greene King beers on draught and I chose the St Edmunds. They also had five lagers and an Orange Wheat beer called Blue Moon which I also tried. The food was very good and there is an extensive menu. I found the staff very pleasant and efficient and would certainly call back here again.

Large Greene King pub, 3 of their beers on tap, fairly regular pub/resturant place, nice enough and that's it.

Curiously,I 've been a local all my life, but i never seem to even consider this pub.
I've been in a few times over the years.you could do alot worse in Bury I suppose.
Reputedly the most expensive pub in Bury for many years? But i suspect that this has now lost this accolade to one of the many pretentious wine-bars that are opening in the area.
Maybe a pub for a quiet chat with friends before heading elsewhere?
