The Foresters Arms is situated on Grassington's main drag, which was thronged with tourists on my Sunday lunchtime visit. It feels like a fairly traditional pub, that is obviously popular with locals and tourists alike. There is a main bar area, a pool table at one end and further seating at the end nearest the kitchens. Ales were Tetleys Cask & Mild, Black Sheep Best Bitter & Riggwelter, Wharfedale Blonde & Timothy Taylor Landlord. I initially chose the Mild. But luckily the barmaid was having a few issues and I ended up with a Riggwelter, which was quite a decent ale. Better than I had expected.

The only place in Grassington that had entertainment (if you exclude eavesdropping). A solo singer entertaining the masses.

Like everywhere, very busy but the staff did well to cope with the numbers. Unusually, Black Sheep Riggwelter was on at £3.40.

this is clearlythe best pub in the village ! beer is always exellent and a good selection of proper beers, also good set of lagers, wines and spirits some say the food is a bit steep (tight gits) owners and staff are on there toes at all times and very friendly if your going walking have your meal on the way back otherwise you,ll end up rolling back to the car park also good accomadation if you can get in bring your guitar sit in a corner and sing all night
