please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

Best point is its near the station and has been refurbished with a bit of its historic interior remaining. Black Sheep Bitter and Golden plus Help for Heroes from Marston

Basic pub with football and good beer. Northallerton may have more to offer but this is certainly worth going to if you're on your way to or from the railway station.

now has a tv and 4 handpumps - Black Sheep Best, deuchars, cask Johns and the guest Adnams Braodside (average condition). Friendly enough but there's better beer elsewhere.

Rough and Ready boozer and as the name would imply quite handy for the station. Tried the Magnet on handpump which was quite drinkable. Any Johnny Bravo fans out there will think the whole town is on Ubermass - there are some huge people about.

Hotel by the railway station which must stay open from B+B trade, as the back bar never seems to be open and through the ornate etched glass of the front bar, only a handful of customers can ever be seen. However, despite the quiet of the place (no TV or music), there are worse places to kill time waiting for a train and the three handpulls are kept in excellent condition.
