user reviews of the Sulby Hotel, Sulby

please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

Splendid old hotel with very enthusiastic landlord. It was just prior to a beer festival and so had my first Northern Ireland real ale. Well kept beers - a must to visit if you go to the IOM.

Popular hotel for the TT races, and an interesting bar since last year when a converted motor cycle engine was put onto the bar in one of the rooms as a drinks dispenser for the Guinness, cider and lager. We enjoyed Okells Dunlop Draught and Bushys Manx Bitter there.

Nice rural pub on the north of the island. The interior is a mixture of old furnishings and pictures of motor cyclists. 3 real ales were available on handpull - Bushy's Bitter, Okell's Bitter and Dunlop Draught. Weston's Stowford Press was also available. We sampled the food. The Hawaiian Toast was interesting and we were asked if we wanted chips with our chip butty! A nice enough place.

Probably the best pub in the north of the island, superb view of the TT/MGP Races, very popular with German visitors to the TT.
