Interior in the style of hotel reception or airport bar. Beer was drinkable but it's a place I'd rather sit outside with my pint.

Found by accident while touring the lanes. Seemed OK but service a bit hit and miss. Beer OK but nothing special. Food prices looked OK and we'll try it one day to see what the quality is like.

Needs more work! Shame as it could be really good

Full of chavs from the local area. Avoid.

I think this is an estate pub. Big open plan McMullen house with the usual ales associated with that brewer. The Country ale was well kept and pleasant. Generally very clean bright pub. Unfortunately went in on a quiz night so it was loud girl on mike time. "Chain" feel pub that probably does its bit to keep the iffies away from the nicer pubs in Shenley Village. Can't see me going back to this one.

My last two visits have not been enjoyable at all, both were for meals at the weekend. NOT somewhere I would recommend

Yesterday (31/1) the place seemed to fill with very young children and their extended families. Adults sat at the tables chatting whilst their offspring literally ran amok, bumping into seated diners, waiters carrying food and people at the bar. Not once did the bar staff or manager, or come to that the adults, say anything about the distruption, although they did appear to be unhappy. At one point there were two children "wrestling" in front of the kitchen door.

haveing lived in borehamwood all my life the moops was all ways a little bit better than most pubs in the area, till now .if you like a group of chavs swearing at the top of there voices all night and the staff doing nothing about it then it's the pub for you.apart from the scum and me and my friend the pub was empty, what a surprise. i would not enter the pub again and i hope you dont

The Mops is a great place I like to come when I want to chill out after work with some friends and also when I want to grab a bite to eat. The menu provides a great choice for all different types of people and I think the specials offered provide a great change to this. Over the summer I spent a lot of time in the beer garden which is rare in the area!

The current owners have ruined this pub, they should be run out of town!

Went for lunch. First time since the refit. No space in the garden as very popular when the sun is out. Food has got better with a nice choice. Overall it tries to cater for business customers in the weekdays and families at the weekends. Definitely aimed at getting a more upmarket crowd. Overall worth a visit but nothing really special.

This was our local lunch time pub before the refit. Today was my 1st visit after the 1/2m re-furb.
The decor etc was all very nice and completely new layout.
Beer wasn't cheap - nearly 3/pint. Ordered a simple jacket potato - 5 which took nearly an hour to arrive, had to take away in the end as did many others. was nicely done though!
Definetly trying to go more upmarket as the food prices were far more reasonable before. It maybe nice new and shiny but until they can speed up the kitchen service and do something about the food prices they will probably find that good reviews are few and far between.

Went for lunch. Big garden, Good Beer. Food was good but took a long time to arrive. However the Landlord made up for it by giving a free round of drinks + giving us a phone number and menu to order in advance next time we came.
Apparently this pub is about to be refurbished in September or so they said.

Nice pub in all. Could do with a big screen for sports and getting rid of the foul and abusive tall streak of a barmaid who seems to turn up at every pub in borehamwood eventually.

Reasonable food, good pint on McMullen's beer, "AK". Also has summer and winter ales in season. Darts and pool table one side. Comforatble lounge the other side. Garden needs a bit of imagination and help to spruce it up a bit.
Not bad for a local.
