I went to Dusk on Friday night, and had a great time. The drinks were not as expensive as others may have led you to believe. Most of the cocktails were 6.50 each, and they were very well made (except for 1 long island ice tea which was way too strong). The door host was a bit strange, she came fully outside into the street as soon as she saw our cab pull up, and asked us if we were eating or just drinking, but in a rather agressive way. She didnt make us feel welcome at all, and she also insisted that we check out coats which i didnt really want to do, but she just said 'its house policiy' although thinking about it since, it does make for a nicer atmosphere and creates more space if people have to leave coats at the door. The service could have been a bit quicker, but the two waitresses we had were infomative and knowledgable about the cocktails on offer. The music was good and really got going as the night progressed. It wasnt too packed, and everyone had a nice attitude which was refreshing. I'm finding that more and more bars in the battersea/clapham area are usually full of the 'looking down their nose at everyone, floppy hair brigade' but dusk was OK in that respect. I'll definitely be going back. Oh yeah, we had some pitta bread and dips too which which were really good.

I love this bar. Decided to have my birthday party at Dusk as I love the cocktails basically plus the staff are great and service very good. I reserved an area for 20 with the manager who couldnt have been more helpful. Music was good and loud enough that you can hear each other speak and then later on when youre rather merry it gets cranked up. It was comfortably busy until 11.30pm then the pub crowd came in but its still a good crowd. Dont see why its had some bad reviews as Ive always had a good night in here. I would say is youre groping in the dark in the ladies loos.. you cant apply make up in there as you cant see yourself! Yes its a bit off the beaten track but it doesnt seem to matter as you make the trip anyway. The cocktails did seem to vary in strength though which would explain why I ended up leaving my card behind the bara guaranteed top night out though and perfect for a birthday party.

I'd go again if it was for a friend's birthday (I'm guessing that friend would be female as the bar is way to pretentious for it's own good).
Midweek sitting out in the garden on a warm evening is nice. I wouldn't go there for a big night or on a weekend.

Refused entry due to being a single male. Was told all male parties would be refused.

This was the most pretentious and obnoxious bar I have ever been to - and I live in Shoreditch!

The bar staff were rude and as others have commented they would not allow us to bring in gifts to the birthday we were attending - as "they couldn't accept responsibility for the gifts themselves"! Very strange.

Drinks are very expensive. 6.50 for a vodka and coke is one of the cheapest options. A shot of (excellent) Portsmouth gin is a mere 10

We reserved a table - but was only given enough space for a third of us.

Avoid.

Cool bar. Relaxed but plenty happening. Best night out I've had in a long time

Went for a friends birthday party. The staff were attentive and provided table service early in the evening. When the bar got busier had to queue for drinks at the bar - not too bad, but had to ask for the correct change twice! (Some people can't seem to tell the difference between a tenner and a twenty).

I was dissapointed by this bar. The door staff were very rude and snooty. Despite wearing designer clothing I was told I "should make more of an effort" and was not at first allowed in. I'm no stranger to bars of this type, and have never found any difficulties getting in. I wasn't alone. I met someone who was bringing a birthday present (wrapped) to a friend who was told "packages were not allowed in this bar"; and somneone else who was told he had food stains down his shirt (they were an embriodered pattern). Not a good way to start an evening

More a cocktail bar than a pub, Dusk is a lot better than you would expect given the grotty location. Extensive cocktail list - and they're well made from quality ingredients by skilled staff. Service is not the quickest but the waitresses are very efficient in taking orders from your table, so if you're smart then there'll be no queuing at all. Can't remember what the music was like so i guess unobtrusive! If you want a 'night out' without having to venture too far (assuming you live in SW London!!) then it's worth a visit.

Very...dusky actually. Lots of little nooks and crannies, perhaps a bit too dark in fact. No Ben Sherman's about which is nice. Strangely lots of girls in the gents which was worrying & confusing. Very slow bar service in main bar. Quicker to go to the beer garden and return with a tray full.

Such a glam bar for the depths of Battersea Park Road, but then us Battersea people do think we're a bit cool. (well cooler than other SW Londoners!) So dark anyone could be gorgeous and I haven't seen a pink shirt...yet. Excellent two-for-one cocktails on a monday and tuesday.
