Thanks to the FA been here two Saturdays running. Excellent refurbishment, pie menu is superb - took a cold one home last week. TT Landlord last week was a fraction warm but Yeovil Stargazer today was good. Best place close to the station.

This pub will be opening as The Handmade Pie & Ale House in late spring or early summer of 2012. It has undergone a huge refurbishment and as the name suggests, will be serving high quality pies and other food, with real ales.

Still waiting for this place to open? Heard that it's having a massive refurb & they will be serving proper homemade food with real ales! I guess it will be worth the wait.

Has scaffolding over it with a sign saying it will reopen Spring 2011. Pub name to be changed too.

We were going to give this pub a try (April 2010) but it was still closed.

I used to like this pub. Called in Wednesday 5/8/09 we were the only customers.............no beer and no cider, excuse was they were awaiting delivery. Had a quickie and bid farewell, don't envisage going back.

Oh dear wots happened, someone's turned a nice pub into a shite hole, empty of people, ale indifferent, crap muzak. Nope, sorry another one bites the dust.

New people have just taken over. They are a decent, friendly couple, and I hope they do well. Had a couple of pints of St Austell Tribute, and excellent they were too. Recommended - but beware if you don't like football as the several TVs were showing the inevitable Saturday afternoon fare!

How can you say "its a lovely small family LOCAL pub and all the LOCAL SCUM are not seen in here".

You dont make sense, and weymouth locals are not scum.

Good beer in a real old fashioned, in the best sense of the word, local. Reasonably priced to. Well worth a visit.

This bucks the trend by being a decent pub near a railway station. Friendly staff and locals. Would definitely come back.

I must say I found this pub a pleasant place, would have no worries about visiting again.

OK pub but the landlord was a bit of a loudmouth. Not the best in the town by a long chalk but could be good!

Fantastic pub considering its station location with a brilliant landlord & landlady. Well run with a good selection of beers....no riff-raff in this pub mainly decent locals who are in the know! The best by far in its area....

First time for me, normally avoid pubs near railway stations but this ones a little gem or Giant gem. Friendly local good real ales.

(from below) it is a great pub the landlord and land lady are very welcoming and down to earth people granted it isnt the biggest place in town but the warmth of the staff and the local makes up for it and i think the food is great.

i dont know how you can say this pub is going down hill. its a lovely small family local pub and all the local scum are not seen in here. maynot be pool table because of its size but the food is lovely and a good price and the booze is as well. i think this buisness is as good as ever and always will be witht he same land lord. the night life is good with darts on most nights and crib 10/10
