Called in here early evening, even though it wasn't busy, the service was slow, staff seemed keener on moving furniture around, or cutting lemons and limes etc. Half way through my second pint, we were approached by a member of staff/landlady and asked to drink up and leave. It appears that they were having a private function and only those invited could remain in the pub. We felt quite uncomfortable and unwelcome and certainly won't be calling again. I don't enjoy having to bolt my pint down after having paid top dollar for it!

If you drink real cider like Westons Old Rosie. Whetherspoons price for this is 2.30p a pint here it will cost you 5.25p a pint even for West London this is a bit of a rip off

fatty steak sandwiches and not that impressive fish and chips......that's what i meant to say on the previous post!

Everything has changed here from a few years ago. Now doing very, and I mean, very bland burgers in cheap buns, fatty steak sandwiches. they try to mask it by serving it on wooden boards. Service mostly bad tempered, or, some brainless, yet evidently cheap mainland european person who doesn't know what the hell is going on. Go to the atlas up the road if you are in the area. avoid this place though as they really dont have a clue. the parfait was okay but really if you get that wrong, you need to give up.

A reasonable and airy pub with two ales on tap (Tribute and Broadside), even if they are on the dear side of usual prices. Given the previous review I am looking forward to going back there to try the food menu. A pleasant place to be.

This is my favorite sunday lunch spot. Some items on the menu are not for the faint hearted but the cuisine is exceptional. The decor is stunning with decadent wallpaper teamed with bespoke chandeliers casting over beautifully candle lit tables. Whether dinning along, with your loved one or a group of friends, the place ticks all the boxes. Still worthy of the pink pound and well worth a taste whatever the colour of your money. Bon Appetite!!

Reopening 5 December as, as the previous poster has said, a straight (or at least not gay) venue.

Sold by M&B, to be closed down and turned into a straight venue, another piece of Londons history being shut. Amazing as it used to be a big money spinner in the days of Bass Charrington, along with a number of other gay venues no longer open in the former estate.

They even have a quiz on a Thursday night - how times change - what would the leather boys of days gone by make of that. First rate friendly bar staff - full of fun and know how to make their locals welcome. Has become a good gay local pub with a hardened drink force. Most probably the cheapest pint of Carling in Earls Court at 2.50 - who says people cash in on the pink pound

Loads of improvements including a new upstairs. I used to drink here when I worked in the bar opposite, The Bolton's some 25 years ago. All of Earl's Court has changed but The Coleherne's still going strong

What has happened to The Coleherne? It used to be a down to earth leather bar. I used to go there every weekend and it was packed with leather guys, jeans and T-shirts ,clones, just your basic down to earth crowd. What has happened?

The S&M scene here used to be much hotter. Young peopel these days have so little imagination.

Not a bad gay bar at all.It used to have a very heavy atmosphere, but has recently - much to many of the locals disgust - toned it down.As a result, it is a much more cheerful place to enjoy a pint & a chat.Musics at the right level, and the toilets arent too bad.I brought a (straight) friend of mine here before a Morrissey concert last year and he was very impressed.
Mr.Raffles - 30 Jun 2005 14:22
Um...This is a very serious S&M gaye bar. If you're not into that you'd be better off going to The Hollywood or the Goat an Boots...

A good scene pub - part of "the circuit" and a good place to sup a few before heading for Brompton's.
