Under new Management since July, and wow you can tell its like a totally different pub, lovely bar staff very welcoming, great atmosphere and the food is nice too, i will be going in regularly from now on.

Close when they fancy it! (was in with about 5-6 people and they decided everyone should leave at 9pm!) including which days they are open at all.
Beer could be better, more choice too.
Dodgy past apparently...
On the plus side, well they show football quite a bit.

Absolute Dive. Very poor service terrible beers & drinkers from nearby Ryans bar are like something from Shameless. Avoid at all costs!

Noticed a Marstons Burton pump so asked for one.

Barmaid served me a pint of Banks without comment.

Told her that I asked for a Burton - response was "we don't have any of that". Would have been thoughtful to have explained that first.

Next visit, still no Burton.

Not much else to recommend the place so don't think I will rush back.

not a good vibe there, verging on the rough with rude barstaff. Didn't feel welcome there from the onset. The Jam night there consists of 'musicians' churning out the kind of blues rock that could be found in any redneck pub in this country.

I visit the Natwest daily along with my work colleague, mainly because he fancies one of the bar staff. Great place, good pint of stella.

10/10 for getting blasted during work

Great beer here. As other comments suggest this pub is very smoky - sit at the back to get away from it. Looks a bit tatty inside but don't let that put you off.

Far too expensive to have any more than a couple of drinks. You'll need a gas mask or an iron lung to last any longer than half an hour in this place. There seems to be no extractor fans and even with the door open your eyes will be nipping. There are better pubs than this but then again there are worse. Prices let it down badly. Landlady has a strange method of cleaning the ashtrays with a paint brush!!! I wonder how she does the dishes?!?! Won't be eating in here.

The new assistant manager from the downs works there now!

The beer is now great (the Pedigree, at any rate - can't vouch for anything else) and has a casque mark to prove it. I find the pub a bit smokey but there's never any trouble and the staff are terrific (no, I don't work there!).

As the name suggests, formerly a Bank converted ironically into a Banks' pub. Now, 7 years down the line the novelty seems to have worn off and while the beer is still reasonale,it's pricey and the pub suits more for a break in the shopping or a pint while the wife traipses round Sainsburys next door.
Parking a problem given that it's in the pedestrianised area of Sale but near enough to the Sale metro station
