Up for sale - stinking piss bowls too. Good riddance. Free's Ux from another violent nasty pub

I'm pretty sure this pub was called the White Horse back in the 70's and 80's when I used to vbisit Uxbridge regularly. Not sure when it changed but it is now called the Ostler and is well placed opposite Uxbridge bus and train stations. A fairly unremarkable pub to be honest, no real ale, comfortable seating, not particularly busy on my visit. Nice outside seating area but it is right on a busy main road.

Quite a nice place, though it is more expensive to drink in here compared to the other pubs! It is always very quiet when I have been in, so I only really go in here now when my boyfriend and I fancy a quiet drink... They have the disco lights going sometimes and a DJ, and create a mini dance floor in the pub. 6/10

Been a few times, a bit over priced on spirits but overall good place! Nice that they do Karaoke on a Wednesday to add livelyhood on the weekdays.

The Ostler is ok all in all for the weekends but if your over 21 its not really the bar to be in as they all seen to be 18 to 21 year olds so you don't get a mixed crowd but other then that its not bad if you wanna mix with the very young .

very lively pub with loud music on the weekends. attracts chavs sometimes, but theyre no bother. drink isnt expensive and you can really let your hair down

went to the ostler last night, bearing in mind it was the middle of january it was really good in there, friendly atmosphere and staff the place has improved vastly it was a little bit bright for a pub/club type atmosphere. Mike was excellent on the decks top dj its worth a go just for the music top stuff im lookin forward to next week

The Ostler has now been compleatly refurrbished throughout, new dj (DJ MikeRichards)on saturday nights and a very full on new approach to security. The new DJ for saturday nights is from the inner City Night Club scene from such clubs as: Turnmills ( Gallery ), Electroworks, SE1, also having played in Napa and along side some of the biggest names in the Industry. More information can be found on DontStayIn.com and Myspace.com/theostler
With a new promotion running on the sat night ( Bak2Basics ) no door fee and well priced drinks is a fresh new approach for the bar and along with fresh entertainment on the sat night playing Funky house and UK Garage does make for a good night.

By far the most dirtiest pub in uxbridge.... and it gets so packed you cant even move.

If you want to drink in a toilet, surrounded by excrement, this is the Pub for you.

This pub is really disgusting. It's in big need of being gutted and refurbished and the toilets...well don't get me started. Are the blokes toilets just as bad as the womens?
It's also very expensive, always empty at 1st but when the other pubs close it's packed...too packed!
I went there the other week (the 1st time in about a year,) I was dragged there & quite drunk! and I would never go back again....dirty!!

i went back to uxbridge over christmas and was shocked to find the minor refurb this place had received, essentially still the pub i always enjoyed but now they serve a cocktail and shot menu all for a reasonable price, and the price of the old drinks has gone down, their staff are great and still remember their regulars despite a 6 month absence, still a great night out with their late license running till 1am

Wednesdays are to be avoided, unless you like hearing your favourite songs ruined by big-headed grungers.

yes, drinks are fairly pricey, but if you fancy a dance and dont wanna have to pay to get in somewhere then this place is okay. Guaranteed pull- unless you look like the back end of a bus! The bouncers can be strict until you get to know them- then they're a right laugh.

Not the greatest pub, one of the most expensive in Uxbridge. Just walk around the corner and go to the Good Yarn instead.
Uxxer - 10 Dec 2003 13:38
THE BEST PUB IN UXBRIDGE. FULL OF LOCALS AND WELSHMAN.
