Pretty good for a pint late on, if you don't mind everyone being a bit hammered. Usefully enough, it's next door to a takeaway pizza joint. I think they still have an open mic night on Thursday - excellent entertainment, especially the rappers.

Great little bar which plays excellent music and has a really lively and yet laid-back atmosphere. Anyone who has this as their local is lucky indeed.

I like this bar very much - it is by far the best pub in the immediate area. It has a different appeal than your normal drinking place (this has something to do with it having once been a shop - it has retained the frontage and name). It has a great jukebox and a very friendly atmosphere. Tracy who I think runs the place is pleasant, engaging and attractive - always makes you feel very welcome.

Tries hard to offer an alternative to the old men's pubs and chav haunts that abound locally, but it has opted for a bland "American" theme and the DJ's are just plain annoying. This place might have worked if it wasn't in Finsbury park, but there you are. A shame, because there is potential here, especially for younger punters.

went here once to with a g/f and was awful, lots of attitude from the hordes of men in the pub and not another woman in sight.

I wouldnt drink here again. .

How to ruin a good pub in less than a year. This place used to be the youngest, quirkiest, friendliest pub in the area. Now the decor is generic "American Theme", the staff are unfriendly and the music is actually loud enough to cause pain. Not to mention the unsavoury types who loiter at the back of the bar. New management?

Basically a wannabe pub.

Staff are disinterested, regulars unfriendly, lacking choice of beer and the narrowist bar aread in the history of pubs.

On the bright side, they have a stunning young lady working there, although of course she's too busy knowing she's beautiful.

Dont bother.

Getting a bit dingy but still a good alternative to the 'old man' pubs in the area. Friendly staff despite the amount of 'hipper than thou' clientle. Fun jukebox and the DJs can be pretty good if you drink enough Stella...

An original place and a terrific location to meet up with a group of friends (if you can get there early enough to get a table). The jukebox is great, but the DJ can be a bit too loud at times, rendering conversation impossible.

To give an update, this bar is still excellent. First impressions may be 'strange place', but its all part of the charm. Downstairs seems to now be shut, but the upstairs is still great. Pool table, duke box, funky DJ sets, friendly staff, great crowd, pin ball machine, comfy sofas, what more could you want from a local?! We love it.

The T Bird! What a pub! As an ex-finsbury park resident I thought the place to be brilliant, carlsberg export on draught (Always a good pint) bar billiards, and the denim seats! (Though I think they may have replaced them) A warm welcome was always offered and Karaoke downstairs always gave plenty of laughs! All in all I truely miss living in London for a number of reasons, and the T-Bird is truely one of them.

T-bird is unlike any bar/pub in the area and stands out for this reason. The beer is cold and the decor makes it a great place to socialise and drink. The staff are pretty cool and always friendly. It has some great music and DJ's, there's always something for everyone.

Great local - cool without trying too hard. Service can be slow but you forgive them their idiosyncracies. Can be raucous but somehow always relaxing.

live acoustic music on Thursdays, soul/funk/jazz/etc DJ on Wednesdays. also hiphop DJ on Fridays, i think

nice place, and there's no other bars nearby - the rest are just standard pubs. the downstairs is being fitted out too at the moment

Quite trendy, laid back atmosphere, friendly staff, great jukebox with loads of good rock and alternative music!

Candle's and chandaliers, cool music, really friendly bar staff, reasonable prices, quirky 60's/70's decor.
