Pleasant Robinson's house with a friendly welcome. Four Robbies beers on and the Robohop was on fine form. Worth a visit. 8/10.

Major renovation in recent months to drive away the sport-centric regulars and attract the pro-smoking-ban types. The air of an old cricket clubhouse has been exchanged for that of a country speed-dating venue that could appear in 'Emmerdale'.

Report from Glossop Pub Crawl on 03.05.2014: this pub has hardly changed since my previous review (March 2009) - which is no bad thing!
Robinsons Trooper, Unicorn and 1892 were on the pumps. All of us had the Trooper which was very good. Nice traditional style pub.

Great pub, beer, cider, atmos and pub cat (which makes a refreshing change to a pub dog) who decided to sleep by my rear end, I guess it was cosy and warm down there!! Does need updating and still has Xmas decs up in May!!

Sporty pub too....the landlord promotes local cricket and football. Glossop Cricket & Football Clubs are both within a couple of minutes walk away and fans of both use the pub.

The Friendship is a comfortable pub just off the main road in Glossop. The interior of the front room of the pub is wood panelled with lots of Cricket memorabilia adorning the walls. To the rear of the pub there is a pool room, which is more modern in feel and appearance. At the rear is an (heated) outside drinking area, which seems popular even on a chilly March evening!! Robinsons Unicorn Bitter and Hatters Mild are served by hand pump. Also, take note of the old fashioned lamp above the front door as you enter the pub.
