We met some friends here for lunch on a Saturday and we all had the fish and chips which was very good (my friend even said she has had better so that must have been something special). Nice old pub opposite the church - in fact the vicar was sitting at the bar discussiong some future event with some parishioners! There is a large garden where well-bahaved dogs and kids are welcome and the pub has a car park at the side. The boys had Ascot Ales Posh Pooch bitter - the second pint of which was "off" but was replaced from a new barrel without question so a gold star for that!! There is a dining room but we all ate in the bar which was no problem at all. The only thing I could see which might be a problem (hopefully not though) is that the small bar counter could get packed with locals sitting in front of it and it would be hard to get past them to get served - a minor hassle if any.

Lovely old welcoming country pub. Popped in after a walk round local area. Real fire and proper grub. Slightly cramped or could be called cosy, depending on whether you are a glass half full or glass half empty kind of person. Think I had Guardsman ale from local Windsor brewery. Have no problem with this pub and would recommend it. Deserves far more than it's current rating and, although admittedly I don't have kids, if previously the management have spoken to customers about unruly children, then good on them. And if it is "caught in a 70's time warp" then good as well. Much better than having the flashing lights, Sky Sports, loud music trappings of a more contemporary public house

Another lovely meal last evening. The place was quiet (no TV so no-one in to watch the World Cup), but labdlord and landlady very friendly. Hammerpot Martlet on as a guest ale - very good indeed. Must visit more often!

The White Hart is one of our favourite pubs. Good food, friendly staff who remember their regulars. Lovely atmosphere and definitely worth visiting!

Spent a pleasant few hours in here last evening. It's a lovely old building with many original features, and appears to have a small crowd of regulars. Friendly landlord and landlady, too. The food was very good standard and reasonable value. Beer was well-kept, only Greene King IPA and Abbot but no complaints about quality. Worth visiting.

Don't Go to This Pub
This pub shows great promise from the outside and initially as you walk in. However as we are all aware looks can be deceiving, in this particular case this is more than true. As a local to the area we have tried many of the pubs and often take our children with us.
"Don't" take your family here"
Much like life on mars this pub still seems to be a pub caught in a 70's time warp where the pub was an enclave for "Adults". The landlady and landlord certainly didnt make us or the children feel at home. At the first sign of any laughter or joviality we were berated as customers and immediately decided to go upon finishing our drinks. Oops didnt make to the end of the drinks as again we were berated within the next few minuets time to go dont go back how rude our last comments on this pub!

Quite the most appalling experience I have ever had in a pub. I think they had four customersat the bar, there were eight of us including 3 kids at 6.30pm. They have all the trappings of a family orientated pub, garden, kids toys etc. We were driven in by the rain and thrown out because the kids did not stay in their seats. When I asked about making a complaint I was met with utter aggression. In short there is nothing appealing about this place least of all the landlord and landlady - do not go!
