Recently managed to scare off one of it's loyal regulars by making him feel unwelcome - way to go! What a way to run a business!

I was disgusted at the service and the way the bar staff spoke and acted. Someone I was with went to the bar for a drink then after waiting over ten minuets because the bar staff was to busy chatting to her friend she then announced the bar was closed and then walked away and started serving other customers! Bearing in mind we had all been there for over four hours and had spent our fair share of money there!

I did have a soft spot for the Inn due to this but now Myself, friends and family have had to much bad service for out liking and it's about time they changed the 'don't care' attitude the owner and staff have.

I will never go there again!!!!!!!!

Not the place it was when Nibs ran it. No food now - miserable guvnor (on the rare occasions you see him) - not much atmosphere. On the plus side, the beer is usually well kept - in my limited experience anyway.

Popped in again for a quick pint - big mistake as it was bloody undrinkable. Complained to the barmaid who did nothing except disappear and the landlord didn't want to know either. Left nearly a whole pint of dire muck - PLEASE clean your pipes!! I've knocked my rating right down and I shan't be back in a hurry.

Skittles here and the beer (6x) poor - had to ask for it to be replaced and still no good. Massive screen at one end, and another (small one) behind you when stood at the bar. Some of us don't like football, and clearly neither did a lot for there were only five people plus the skittlers in. Shan't go out of my way to go here again...

Same old 'Armoury' as I knew back in the '80s. Looks like the same paint work as well!!! but maybe that adds to its charm!! The beer was good. I tried a Waddy's 6X, and I'm not keen on their beers but this one was well served and in great condition. Has always lacked something for me, this place. But it still seems to do well. Best of luck to 'em!! 7/10 from me.

Excellent pub serving real ale - until 4am - ideal place to watch sky and have a good pint or two or even three

this is a Good Pub! A dying breed in this town

Good town pub just far enough away from the town centre to avoid being filled with shoppers at lunchtime and oiks in the evening. Friendly staff, good atmosphere, good ales (the Henry's IPA and 6X were spot-on) and a fairly wide menu of reasonably priced pub food.

I was pleasantly surprised. Good beer and no sense of regulars' hostility to newbie. Will go again
