i stayed at this place for over a month they new refurbished rooms are absolutely wonderful clean got ensuite for cheap price like that i thought it would be a nightmare but it was great much better than i expected i like bit of beer and i dont compromise with the quality they had some quality beer there for right price. As lot of the boozers are shutting down i would definitely support something like this and encourage my friends and other people if they ever go to dartford should go there.its not a bad place

I like this place - been here a couple of times and it hasn't dissapointed. it's not where you take the inlaws for a nice sunday lunch but for a midweek drink and to watch the football its a fine local. The Stella's always been fresh and the barmaid's been friendly on every occasion. Vast selection of bar snacks :-)

AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!!! this pub is the pits, i stopped here for a week and had to pay money up front and he also took my card details first so i had no option but to stay, i only actually went into the pub once for a drink and i got that very uneasy unwelcoming feeling, the lager was terrible (i ended up leaving it) the place smelt and wasn't very clean as for the room i was in well there was no window above the door in my room just an open space, they never cleaned the room , the tv was shocking, as like the pub the room didn't smell the nicest, the window was just single glazed with condensation and when your next to the main road it sounds like the cars and lorries are driving through your room, the landlord seems very arrogant, when i thankfully left the building after my hellish week i unfortunately left behind something personnel on the bed and when i phoned up about it they claimed they hadn't come across anything so honesty is a big issue, makes you wonder what happens when your out, so if you've got no choice and have to stop in this hovel i wouldn't leave any valuables in the room while your out but personally i wouldn't let my dog stop here

Visited here the other day 1st time in years just to see if it has changed [it hasn't], not a place I'd put myself out to visit, tried the greed king IPA and
was expecting something undrinkable in fact quality was actually pretty good & price not too bad (2.40 pint)Apparently this still functions as a hotel...,
as the barmaid seemed to think I was a guest for some
reason. Located off the main dartford pub circuit but if you are passing, give it a go. We have to support back street boozers like this.

Built in the early 1900s when Dartford was rapidly expanding, the Fulwich is generally listed as a hotel but is first and foremost a pub. Pubs like this are currently part of the endangered species list, a typical locals pub with a very old fashioned approach but all the more appealing for it. The temptation to knock through the 2 bars has so far been resisted so it still retains the classic saloon / public bar divide that is now all too rare. The saloon is a rather straight forward carpeted bar with a modern brick fireplace, flower vases on the window sills, a couple of plain mirrors, brass plates, some pictures and just to add a bit of culture, some framed poetry. The circular brass top dimpled tables and the bar cover are a throwback to the 70s and the Double Diamond on draught rather completes the scene. In the Public bar (there is access via the rear of the pub) the furnishings are a more on the rough side with some rather cramped seating, especially if the pool table and dartboard are in use. The tatty appearance is not helped by the curtain less windows but it does feel like a traditional public bar, a sort of maens play room and definitely not suitable for the ladies. There a few photos and trophys as testament to the pubs sporting achievements and rather unusually, a board listing the winners of the Fulwich Golf Society. It is difficult to picture any of the locals here being particularly golf orientated this is more of a dominoes and darts establishment. Apart from the aforementioned (and quite disgusting) Double Diamond, the drink selection is rather standard and uninspiring - just 1 Ale (the ubiquitous Green King IPA) although it was in decent condition. The customer base will not be to everyones liking unless you are fairly broad minded but the pub is generally friendly and welcoming and worth visiting as an example of how many old local pubs would have looked in pre decimal days.
